PMO MO/C suspends use of biometric fingerprint time clock as additional measure against COVID-19

Relative to the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, wherein the deadly virus can survive on high-contact surfaces (surfaces that are handled/touched frequently by numerous people) and as an additional measure to help prevent, limit, and control exposure to this virus, the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro temporarily suspended the use of the biometric fingerprint time clock to record the attendance of all its employees including the outsourced personnel.

Bundy clocks will be used instead in the Administrative Buildings 1 and 2. Per Admin Memorandum Circular No. 03-2020, each employee was also directed to bring along his/her own timecard after time punching as a further precaution against COVID-19.

PMO MO/C in back-to-back meeting with City Health amid 1st COVID-19 case in Mindanao

Just after the first confirmed case of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was recorded in Mindanao where the patient from Iligan City was admitted to a hospital in Cagayan de Oro City, the City Health Office (CHO) called for emergency meetings with the airport and seaport authorities in Misamis Oriental.

In the continuing efforts to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19), the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MO/C) conducted disinfecting activities in the Port of Cagayan de Oro and Terminal Ports in Balingoan and Camiguin on 12 March 2020. The Bureau of Quarantine also conducted the same in CDO Port on 17 March 2020.

PMO MO/C celebrates 2020 National Women’s Month

In celebration of the National Women’s Month this year, the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro organized activities for all their women employees during the first week of March declared as “Woman’s Week.”

The theme, “We Make Change Work for Women,” has been the annual theme of the celebration since 2017, which aims to highlight women empowerment, gender equality, and recognizing the contribution of women to development and nation-building.
